MFREEM (Margin Free Market) margin-free market chain that works under Consumer Protection and Guidance Society (T. 477/93), aims at
sensitizing consumers about the food items they eat and giving them consumer
products at lowest prices.
MFREEM has radically changed the consumer concepts of ordinary people of Kerala, giving them more control over their money.
MFREEM first started working as a society (Consumer Protection and Guidance Society �T. 477/93 at Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala) in 1994 to deliver quality consumer products, at the right quantities and with maximum discounts from Maximum Retail Price (MRP).
The society recorded a first year turn over of Rs. 21,720,797.92. Several businesses then started imitating Margin Free business model. Now, to avoid confusion among consumers, Margin Free society has registered a Private Limited Company, Consumer Protection and Guidance Company.
New franchise shops will have the brand name MFREEM and will be under Consumer Protection and Guidance Company Ltd (Ernakulam). Existing franchises that were started before 2007 will continue to work under Consumer Protection and Guidance Society (Thiruvananthapuram).
